Our Northern Western PA clients will usually have their hearings held at the Seven Fields Hearing Office. At this time, you will wait approximately 13 months for your hearing from the date you request an appeal. These include folks that live in Erie, Hermitage, Kittanning, Meadville, New Castle, Sharon, Ambridge, Butler and surrounding areas. The hearing will be held at:

Social Security Administration
Office of Disability Adjudication & Review
Building B, Ste. 200
300 Seven Fields Boulevard
Mars, PA 16046
1-855-278-4199

Pittsburgh and surrounding towns such as Homestead, Clairton, Braddock, New Kensington, Rostraver, McKeesport and Monroeville will have their hearings held in the Pittsburgh ODAR office. Unfortunately the Pittsburgh ODAR office has a very large back log of cases and it is taking approximately 14 months and growing, from the date your appeal is filed to have your case heard before the Judge. This office is located on the top floor of the Federal Building downtown at:

Social Security Administration
Office of Disability Adjudication & Review
1000 Liberty Avenue, Suite 2308
Pittsburgh, PA 15222
1-866-331-2291

Clients living in Johnstown and surrounding communities (Altoona, Greensburg, Pottsville) will be heard in the Johnstown Hearing office. The Johnstown ODAR office is hearing claims in less than a year from the appeal date and it is one of the most efficient offices in processing the decisions and prehearing requests. If you live in one of the above areas or surrounding communities, your hearing will be held at:

Social Security Administration

Our Clients living in the southern counties, including the Uniontown area, Lakelynn, Connellsville, Point Marion, Masontown, Waynesburg, Republic, Irwin and Greensboro just to name a few are currently traveling to Morgantown, WV for their cases to be heard. Most hearings are held in front of an Administrative Law Judge; however, due to the back log and always present budget cuts, the Social Security Administration is video conferencing Judges from other locations that are not as back logged to try to help with the number of cases that need to be heard.  However, if you are assigned a video Judge the Hearing Notice will note that it is a video hearing and you will have the option of refusing a video Judge to be scheduled later face to face with a Judge. As the hearing is the most important part of this process, I strongly recommend that you NEVER appear in front of a Judge without an attorney.
